Yes! Dearly Beloved fulfills the Catholic Church’s requirement for Pre-Cana. Double check with your diocese their particular requirements before joining. After completing the program, you’ll receive a certificate of completion to submit to your parish or diocese.

Frequently Asked Questions
We’re long distance right now — can we still do this?
Absolutely. Dearly Beloved is designed for both local and long-distance couples. You’ll have access to flexible content, live teaching, and connection points that work no matter where you are.
How long does the program take?
You’ll have 6 months of access, but the core curriculum is structured to be completed in 9 weeks. That gives you plenty of time to work through the content together at a pace that fits your season.
A lot of marriage preparation is boiled down into a weekend retreat that is only offered at certain times of the year and requires in person attendance.
Dearly Beloved is fully online and is designed to meet you where you are at in the season of life you’re in.
Is there any 1:1 coaching or personalized support?
Yes — group coaching is built into the program. There’s also an option to add on a private coaching session with Laura Jean during your engagement for deeper support and discernment.
When do the live calls happen? What if we can’t attend?
Live calls are hosted regularly (and announced in advance), and replays will always be available. You won’t miss out if you have a scheduling conflict — but we highly recommend attending live when you can.
Do we both get workbooks?
Yes! Beautifully printed workbooks will be mailed to your homes, and you’ll have digital access to reflection prompts in case you’re long distance.
What if we can’t afford the full price right now?
We offer flexible payment plans to make the program accessible during your engagement. You’re also welcome to invite family members to contribute as a wedding gift — many are thrilled to support your formation.
